Grandma time

Okay - so yesterday was another wonderful day with granddaughters.  I don't know...is it really fair to get to have so much fun within a couple of days of each other?  lol  Well...I'm going to go through withdrawals now, since I won't get to see them for over a week, so I guess I'd better just soak it up.  At least both of them like me now!!

I think the camera had an interesting angle though - this photo makes me look lots thinner than I think I am, but I won't complain.  Aren't the two little ones cute??  It's hard to tell, and the other photos my daughter took are kind of fuzzy, but they were holding hands as we were walking to go eat a picnic dinner.  They are so cute together!!
I don't like being a grandma or anything, huh?

Father's Day Weekend!

Okay - so we got to have a wonderful Father's Day weekend!  It was the first time we got to have our two little granddaughters over night, and very first time ever for the one we hadn't seen for so long, remember her?  lol

Here they are coloring with Grandpa

And here they are playing with dad and uncles.  It was so much fun, and they were so cute!!  I'm definitely a much better grandma than I was a mom.  sigh.  One of our neighbors said it's too back you can't skip the kids part and just go straight to grandma!  lol  I know it wouldn't work, but there are times...

We tried to do finger painting to put hand prints on paper for dads and grandpa.  One was willing, and it was fun.  The other freaked out...so we had to improvise.  ;)  But it was way fun, and we actually got sleep...unlike last time.

sigh.

I think I really like being grandma.  ;)  I know my hubby likes being grandpa.

Hope you all had a great Father's day.

Remember to Love

Well...Friday we buried by sister.  This wasn't planned.  This wasn't supposed to happen.  But then - we aren't the ones in charge and sometimes we have to be reminded of that.  sigh.

My sister Lisa was one of those truly kind and generous souls.  She never had a bad word to say about anyone, and was the prime example of "what would Jesus do?".  She loved much and easily, and I can only hope to learn and live from her example.  Her children showed some great stuff at the funeral Friday.  I was very impressed by how well the whole thing came together, how they held together (for the most part) - most of us siblings would have been emotional wreaks.  I mean, I WAS an emotional wreak most of the morning.  But by the time we got to the cemetery, I was calm.

She's in a much happier place now, with mom and Steve and Steph.  I'm sure they are running around with much to do.

I just know we're going to really miss her.

Love ya, sis.  See you later.

Wow... really??

so - I didn't realize it has been that long since my last post.  I think I kind of gave up on it, knowing I don't have many follower...
