Happy Hump day!

 

I can't believe it's only Wednesday, lol.  For some reason this week has been going REAL slow - probably because I'm really looking forward to Friday, but ya know.  😋

So - it's all good.  Only six more days for all teaching and 9 month peoples.  Pretty cool!  And, a long weekend in between!

It's not a real exciting day as far as the crazy/silly holidays go, but there are a couple of things I thought you'd enjoy.

Today is National Paper Airplane day.  Kind of fun.  Always reminds me of this cute short movie that Pixar did with one of their movies...

It's also National Blueberry Cheesecake Day - and National Cherry Dessert Day. That kind of give options for sweet tooths...  🙂  Which one would you lean toward?  I am not a big cherry fan, so I'd be heading toward cheesecake.  I might have to try out the pressure cooker recipe again.  😋

I couldn't pass that up, could I?  I know too many Star Wars fans, lol.  I'm more excited about tomorrow, actually, and tacos, but ya know.

Hope you're all having a great week!  I can't believe it's May!  Suddenly this year is looming to a close and I'm wondering what happened to April, lol.  My lawn is suddenly green and growing and we're thinking, oh darn, the sprinklers aren't turned on yet...  Is anyone else that far behind on yard work??  😳🙄

International Firefighters Day - I have a nephew that married an amazing woman that decided to become a firefighter.  It still impresses me that she's survived all that and still going...  My brother was a volunteer firefighter for most of his career, which involves EMT training.  I feel like Morton, Horton's friend in Horton Hears a Who, saluting all firefighters everywhere... (can't find the right gif...sigh)

but - on a lighter side, we discovered the youtube channel that is done by a firefighter, and it's hilarious...  a definite must share on this day...

It was kind of funny, I was in a school yesterday and heard bird chirping sounds.  I thought what in the world?  Had a bird flown into the school?  I went out to the hallway, and someone was carrying baby chicks into the school.  Ah...  my husband said I couldn't bring them home, lol.  🤷‍♀️🐤🐣🐥

National Teacher Day - and of course we are celebrating teachers this week.  I love going through the schools and seeing the decorated doors that the PTA always does.  We have some great teachers out there!! I'm sure many of you feel like this sometimes...

National Orange Juice Day - personally, I do like OJ.  It really fills me up though, so I don't drink a lot of it.  Everyone always says that it's better to eat the fruit, not the juice - it's more calories, yada yada.  I know that, but you know what?  I like drinking better than eating some of the fruits.  It's me...  😋
