It's Friday!!!

and it's March!  wow...when did that happen?

Although, have to say - this year February seemed longer than January, lol.
When I first looked up all the things to celebrate today, I was overwhelmed by the amount.  In going through the list though, I was able to cut out the 'agendas' and other such hype and focus on stuff that would help lighten my day, and not weigh it down.  We have enough on our plates between the crisis in Ukraine and the supply chain issues that we don't need to add to it...in my opinion anyway.
So - here's to your first Friday of March, and a weekend (hopefully) of much needed moisture!!  If March comes in like a lion...it will go out like a lamb, right?  🙂

National Pound Cake Day - Pound cake is one of those things that people either love or hate.  I guess hate might be too strong of a word, but you get the idea.  It used to be a simple thing, a pound of everything you put in it.  But, no one makes that large of a loaf anymore, and it's usually got other stuff put in it now as well.  What is your favorite?  I think it's good plain...with some whipped topping...  yum.

Employee Appreciation Day - and hey!! Since we are all employees, here's your shout out for appreciation!!  You are all awesome and boy, are we glad you're all here!!

Marching Music Day - I think marching band music takes a little getting used to... I think it's great for parades and stuff, but I didn't fully appreciate it until I discovered the competitions.  Wow, some of those marchers are awesome!!
here's a high school band...

National Backcountry Ski Day - if you like to ski, especially backcountry ski, I guess this is your day.  I think it's kind of risky -- I keep hearing about someone getting caught in an avalanche.  😳

National Day of Unplugging - we need this more than ever now, I think.  Especially with so much of education being plugged in.  Take a night off from electronics, have a game night - converse with someone face to face!!

National Grammar Day - as always, have to post my favorite video of Weird Al.  He should have been a teacher, lol.  Nuf said.  🙂

Tartar Sauce Day - and last but not least, it's tartar sauce day.  Whoever invented this condiment obviously was tired of plain fish, lol.  But then when I looked into it, I discovered that-- strange--it was invented to go with beef tartare.  Go figure.  I like it on fish, personally.  (Also...a note for what's going on right now...  The people who invented it settled in Ukraine.  So eating something with tartar sauce will be a nod to those who live there... )

Well, hopefully something in this list made you smile or brightens your day.  Personally, I could watch Weird Al for a bit for smiles.  His White and Trashy is pretty funny, love Donny in there...

Hope you have a great weekend!!!  🙂

Wow... really??

so - I didn't realize it has been that long since my last post.  I think I kind of gave up on it, knowing I don't have many follower...
