Last Week to Win A Copy!!! Extended time...

I'm guilty. I got so crazy the end of June and beginning of July, that I forgot I was supposed to end the contest on the 5th. I figure one more week wouldn't hurt anything, although since only two people entered, they are probably wishing I'd shut up...grin. So -- I'm extending it to the 15th. Totally last day!

But, since I announced it a few weeks ago, you've probably forgotten. You've gotten wound up in your own little busy summer activities and have forgotten you could have this excellent book in your little hands!!

Well, it's time to refresh your memory! J Scott Savage's book, Farworld, is by far one of the best books I've read of that age grouping in a long time. He has an excellent way of telling a story and drawing you in for the ride.

I haven't died...and contest is almost over!

Hi everyone. Thanks for the kind comments on our kitten and our backs...grin. It's been a long road. I'm finally feeling better, and am going back to work next week at normal hours. This week I was working shorter days to see how my back liked it. I am just soooo thankful that it was a short thing and that the Lord has blessed me so quickly. My hubby is doing better as well, and is planning on going back to work although he still won't be able to lift much and has a hard time standing or walking for very long. I guess we'll see how it goes.

The contest will definitely be ending this week, and I've finally come up with two prizes that the winner be able to pick from. At this point, it won't be hard as I've only had one entry that I've seen...where did everyone go who thought they had a paragraph??? Hello???

Anyway, having a fun lazy rainy day today and plan to get lots of laundry done. Thanks for your friendships.

200th Blog Contest!

Okay! In honor of the fact that I shall soon be entering my 200th blog (blows the mind, doesn't it?) I'm having a contest!! I'm thrilled, but a littler nervous no one will know, and therefore no prize will be given.

So it's a two part contest. One -- you must link this to your blog or website and comment to me that you've done so. Two -- you must write a single paragraph (or 100 words)starting with the following sentence:

"What do you mean it's loaded?"

This is my favorite thing, madwrites or adlibs, and so that's my favorite type of contest! This will start now, and end on the day that I write the 200th blog, so probably sometime during the last week of February. That should give everyone plenty of time. I don't care what genre, although no riske or porn will be allowed. I will post each day's offerings so that everyone can read them. If someone wants to vote, I could perhaps do two winners, my choice and the readers choice. It will depend on the type of response that I get.

So -- everyone get writing! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.
The prize is still in the works, because I want it to be something amazing and that needs my hubbies input and he's at work. As soon as I have it nailed down, I'll be posting it.

My weekend, by the way -- in case you're interested -- was wonderful. It was gorgeous weather the whole time and we didn't do anything but play games, talk and watch movies. sigh. It was much too short. I'm really looking forward to this week, Valentines is coming!
