Happy Hump Day Wednesday!

Morning everyone!  Hope you're awake and pounding the day!  Ever wake up and wonder what day it is?  Takes a minute to figure it out and then it's like, oh!  It's Wednesday!  that means only two days till Friday...  :)  Always a good sign...
There isn't a lot to talk about today, but I couldn't pass it up because it's National Dance Day!!  That means you should get up and dance around - like no one is watching!  (Or thinking you dance weird, because, let's face it - kids just don't get our style of dancing, lol)  So I just have to share this...

It's also National Tortilla Chip day.   I was not entirely surprised to learn that Tortilla chips were not created in Mexico.  Leave it to the US to take something we all think is Hispanic and run with it, lol.  Kind of makes sense, I had a friend as a kid who was Mexican, and went to her house for lunch once...  They had tortillas and beans and stuff, and the tortilla's were home made.  It was awesome.  First time I'd ever had them, really.  We weren't big Mexican food aficionados.  ðŸ™‚  Well, that has changed... as far as basic stuff.  I love burritos and Quesadillas and stuff.  Anyway - enjoy the chip!

So - good combination, chips and dancing...  have a party!!

Happy Friday

Welcome to the weekend.  🙂  It's been a nice short work week, with snow and wintery weather...today is supposed to bring more of the same.  I guess we're all grateful for furnaces and fireplaces, huh?  I have some friends that live in Texas and it's been an interesting ride...  ðŸ˜³

Hopefully you have good things to look forward to this weekend.  We all need to continue to relax and take care of each other. 

Anyway - there are a couple of fun things I wanted to make sure you were aware of.  First off, it's Best Friends Day!  Isn't that a great day to celebrate??  Best friends are the ones who stay by you, even when you do something stupid (they're usually the ones who tell you it was stupid) and comfort you when you're down.  They're the ones that are always there.  Take time today and thank that person whose always been there for you, and you think of as your BFF.  There are a couple of friends in movies that I always think about...  if you've ever watched the movie Sahara, you know what I'm talking about.  Those two just cracked me up.  You're introduced to them when Al is bringing Dirk up from the ocean, and he's telling their guest that Dirk has always been the "Allsmaid, never the Al."  These guys know each other like they were twins.  Great stuff.

(And I have to say, much as I'm a reader, I would skip the book on this...the movie is much cleaner and nicer...😳🙄)

Another friendship worth mentioning is Captain America... Steve and Bucky.  Now they are awesome.
of course, we need at least one female group here...and that has to be Steel Magnolias.  Those women just crack me up!!!
I love this scene because it shows how they are all there for each other, good or bad.
So...  that went a bit father than I meant, lol.  These were supposed to be celebrating friendships, not be depressing! 

How about this duo?  Much better...

It's Chocolate Mint Day.  If you like those yummy Girl Scout cookies that they are so famous for, this would be a good day to dig them out.  Andes Mints are awesome too...  I like a good mint hot chocolate as well...  What's your favorite version of mint chocolate?

And, if you like fish and all things fish, today is Tartar Sauce Day.  I guess Tartar sauce is the only way I like horseradish sauce.  UGH.  It's good on fishsticks...

Well...hopefully you've had a few laughs out of this, and are ready for the weekend.  Here's some sights and sounds to remind you that winter is on it's way out... only a month or so...

Happy Chocolate Sale at Walgreens Eve...Eve!!

 LOL.  If you have never seen this, it's a must share...

It makes me laugh every time I watch it.  I still don't get why she even answers the door!!  Kick his lazy butt off the couch!  lol.  😋

Anyway - it's Friday!  It's Valentines weekend, and it's a long weekend as well.  Can more fun things be rolled into one???

I hope you have plans - even if those plans are to lay on the couch and binge watch your favorite tv series or something, a plan is a plan! 

If nothing else, you should go crazy and celebrate Chinese New Year.    It's the year of the ox.  If you do a search for it on Google, it will shower your screen with fireworks for a minute.  It's awesome.  🙂  Apparently they don't have a set DAY for new years, it's a spring festival and families gather, yada yada.  So, that's totally a reason to celebrate.  Order Chinese food, watch a bunch of Jacky Chan movies... 

Food wise, it's Plum Pudding Day.  Well... that's one that I'm not jumping for joy at.  I'm not a huge fan of plums when their fresh...and I thought dried ones were a diarrhetic, so, uh - anyone ever try it?  I know it's big in the UK...

Well - just wanted to wish everyone a happy Valentine's weekend.  In our family it's not about romantic love, it's just about love in general.  Hopefully you'll feel loved and want to show that to others.
