Happy Friday...and it's snowing. Need a movie??

Only 15 days till Christmas!  and only five more working days for us...  wow!!  Hope you're ready!  I'm just excited we finally have snow!  🙂  Hopefully it won't melt before then, lol.
Just a little clip to get you in the mood...
So - since today doesn't have anything that I think is worth shouting or sharing about... not even any food!!  (yesterday was pastry day if you want to celebrate it today...)  I thought we'd do a Christmas movie countdown.  What are your top 15 favorites to watch every year??  (one for everyday left...lol)
Here's my list.  (and it was hard to choose which order!!!)
#15  Home Alone 2 - while both movies are fun, I like the first one just a little more.  Both of them are hilarious, though now we can't watch them without knowing that those two thieves would be so DEAD...lol
#14 Santa Claus 2 - you can tell now that I'm starting from the bottom and working up.  This one is so cute, I love the romance.  I think the whole shrinking santa is a little strange, but ya know.  lol  love the other season characters.
#13 Santa Claus 1 - and this one is so much fun... love how the character evolves.
#12 A Christmas Story - we love watching this one every year.  Especially the dogs eating the turkey!!  We would totally have pulled out that bb gun and shot at them!!
#11 Home Alone 1 - The one that starts it all.  There are a few little mistakes that I love to point out every year, drives my family crazy.  What can I say??  They messed up with his Christmas eve dinner.  🙂
#10 It's a Wonderful Life - I don't always get to watch this, my hubby thinks it's depressing, so it usually gets watched when I'm by myself.  I love how it ends!!!
#9 Klaus - animated - I love this story!  We first saw it last year, and I think it's a great telling of the story.
#8  Dr Seus How the Grinch Stole Christmas - Jim Carrey - I have mixed feelings about this one.  Jim Carrey is brilliant as the grinch!  However, there are still a few adult themes that make me watch it less and less.
#7 The Polar Express - love the songs, and Tom Hanks.  But I'm starting to watch the less Santa Claus'y' themes at the top...
#6  How the Grinch Stole Christmas - animated - the true Dr. Seus at his best.  We always watch this version.
#5 The Man Who Invented Christmas - just discovered this last Christmas.  LOVE this background telling of Charles Dickens.
#4 While You Were Sleeping - this is a year-round movie watch for us.  We love this combination of family and the season.  We usually start watching it around Thanksgiving time.  Sandra Bullock is so amazing.  🙂
#3  A Charlie Brown Christmas - my hubby is a HUGE peanuts fan, so we watch this without fail.  Love Linus's naration.
and for our top favorites...
#2 Christmas Carol - George C Scott - this has to be our favorite version of the live action movies, bar none.  We love the way George C Scott portrays Scrooge.  It's amazing.
#1 Muppets Christmas Carol - but there is still something a little more heart warming about the Muppets and Michael Cain.  I guess it could be a tie with these two.
It's amazing how when I was looking at lists it reminded me of all the movies out there - most of which we have, but we end up never having time to watch them every year.  It's so sad...  I'm hoping we get to more of them this year, simply because they are so awesome.  Here are the honorable mentions that if you can, try to watch.  🙂
Last Holiday - SO much fun!  If you love to cook...this is a must watch too. Miracle on 34th Street - old version - way better than the newer version, though it has merit as well.
Jingle All the Way - a fun crazy movie if you're in the mood for something different.  Same ol Schwarzenegger stunts.
The Nutcracker - Baryshnikov - if you like the Nutcracker, surely this is your favorite version.  He is just amazing.
Scrooged - for when you want some humor - Bill Murray just has a way of taking it to the far side...
Die Hard - never thought of this as a Christmas movie before a couple years ago.  Now it just makes me laugh...reminds me of when he did a tv series called Moonlighting.  Anyone remember that?  lol
Babes in Toyland - classic.  This is still a fun watch.  My kids really like the newer one with Drew and Keanu, but ya know.
The Bishop's Wife - classic - This is always a good one, but for some reason it doesn't always get watched.
The Bells of St Mary's - is another old one that hardly ever gets watched.  I'm hoping to get to it this year.
Holiday Inn - one of the cheesy oldies
Yours Mind and Ours - Lucile Ball.  I guess it's not really a Christmas movie, but it has a Christmas section to it, and we love to watch it.  I used to watch this a lot when our children were younger to remind myself that 7 isn't so bad...when compared to 19.  🤪
Well, hope you have an awesome safe day... and wonderful weekend.!  🙂

so - I didn't realize it has been that long since my last post.  I think I kind of gave up on it, knowing I don't have many follower...
