Isn't it a gorgeous day?? And just think...
only
10 more days of school!! Amazing how fast April went...and May is
following right behind. Those of us who work the school year hours, are
counting the days though!! Some of you are retiring...sigh. I don't
know though...I was thinking the other day -- retirement isn't always
that awesome...sometimes the job is good. 🙂 I guess I'm not ready to give up my job quite yet... we'll see how next year goes, right?? My hubby is debating - he'll have 30 years in next year. If he takes the plunge, I'll be following him.
Anyway
- the weather is glorious today, and we have lots to look forward to. So - some fun stuff for today!
International Day of Light
- This is kind of interesting. I don't remember marking this day
before. Instead of the usual, hey, turn off all the lights and stop
polluting the night sky, it's wow - light is important to technology.

Mimosa Day-
(the drink) so, not that I encourage drinking by any means, but just
thought I'd comment on this drink. My daughter drinks, and while we
were on our cruise (was it only 5 weeks ago????) she tried a Mimosa
because it's touted as this wonderful drink, right? Well... she
thought it was disgusting, lol. I don't think she's a big wine person,
so perhaps that's it. Who knows. Anyway - thought for drink, lol.
National BBQ Day - BBQ!! Who doesn't like BBQ? Of course, there are different thoughts when it comes to BBQ.
I always think of grilled food. I think most people think of barbequed
meat, like pulled pork, beef, etc. What comes to your mind? Pretty
much everything is tasty when cooked on a grill... 🙂
National Sea Monkey Day - I don't know why they would have a day dedicated to brine shrimp, but here ya go. We have our own supply of brine shrimp in the Salt Lake, don't cha know? I had no idea that a man actually patented the Sea Monkey when he started selling them in the 1950s. If you bought into those adds that were on all the comic books in the 60's and 70's, then you'll know what it's all about. Crazy. 🙂
So
- whatever you do today, this week...enjoy! I hope you have a great
BBQ and invite the neighbors. BBQ is a party thing, right?? 🙂
Have a good one.
